Dear Gearhart Community,
We would like to remind everyone of the existing ordinance regulating contractor work hours in the City of Gearhart, which is aimed at maintaining peace and quiet in our neighborhoods.
Work Hours:
- Contractors, Commercial Contractors, General Contractors, and Employees:
- No work between 6 PM and 8 AM, Monday-Saturday.
- No work on Sundays.
- Landscape Construction Professionals and Lawn Care Contractors:
- No work between 7 PM and 7 AM, Monday-Saturday.
- No work on Sundays.
Exemptions:
- Emergency repairs and City, State, or Federal government projects.
- Gearhart Golf Course maintenance with specific equipment.
- Special permits can be issued for non-emergency work by the City Administrator.
Enforcement & Penalties:
- Enforcement by Gearhart Police and City officials.
- Violations may result in fines up to $500 per occurrence or per day for continuous violations.
